The Castelltorts were a family of tanners originating from the 18th century. Antoni Castelltort i Borràs (also known as Ton del Jaume) ran the tannery at Calle Sant Antoni de Baix 10 which he took over (paying a down payment and annual fee) in 1880 from Josep Badia. In 1886 there is a record that remodelling work was done, as well as a possible extension.

The family home, next to the tannery, faces onto Calle Sant Antoni de Baix and still has a lintel with the inscription "AC 1886".

Together with the Joan Llucià and Josep Tous tanneries, this was purchased in 2001-2002 by the tanning company Haubi, S.A, which combined them and ran them as one operation.
